Manchester City’s dressing room inquest after their defeat by Manchester United last season has been revealed – with Fabian Delph emerging as one of the loudest voices.

City were on the cusp of confirming they had captured the title – which they ultimately won a week later – after going in 2-0 up at half-time in the game against their fiercest rivals.

But United staged a second-half comeback courtesy of a Paul Pogba double and Chris Smalling’s strike.

And after the game was over, Amazon’s cameras captured the scenes behind closed doors for their new documentary series, Manchester City: All or Nothing, which was released online on Friday morning.

Off camera, Delph can be heard saying: ‘F****** shit man, f**** sake. F****** useless. F*** me. F****** hell.’

Captain Vincent Kompany tries to calm down the dressing room and adds, ‘If I wanna see this team go to the next level, and do even more, every single detail we need to be honest with ourselves and be hard with ourselves.’

Yaya Toure then weighs in: ‘I think the point of what I’m saying right now is that it’s true because in the first half we were there, but in the second half they took us physically.

‘Because, I think we have to understand sometimes, because we’re fatigued and that’s the time we need to regroup.’

But Delph is not happy with that viewpoint. The 28-year-old interjects: ‘F****** tired? It’s simple, it’s straightforward. We stopped f****** running in the second half.’

Toure questions that before manager Pep Guardiola intervenes and puts the blame on himself. ‘Guys. Chill out. Shut up please,’ he says.

‘No because you, because you, because you. If you disagree, complain to me for my decisions.’

Guardiola continues: ‘When you lose in football, you think, we didn’t run. That is b*******, guys. That is not the point.’

Delph is not done: ‘I’m not blaming anyone, it’s just the basics of football. When things go against us and everybody drops their head, just remember the basics.

‘Winning our individual battles, sticking together as a unit, f****** defenders defending, midfielders box to box, f****** keepers… just the basics of football.

IS FABIAN DELPH A KEY VOICE IN THE DRESSING ROOM?

Fabian Delph is a minor star throughout the documentary.

In the first episode he jokes with Kyle Walker while the right-back wears a ‘player cam’, calling him ‘babes’ and blowing kisses at his fellow Yorkshireman.

He tried to motivate his team-mates before the Wigan FA Cup defeat by shouting ‘f****** aggressive’. Delph was sent off during that game.

The cameras then followed him back into the dressing room, where he almost snaps the door off its hinges in anger at the decision to send him off.

He then blames himself and the sending off for the exit in an interview later on in the series.

‘When we go behind, or something comes against us, we freeze. When something goes against us, think of the basics of football.’

The manager has the final word after Delph quietens down, declaring: ‘Football is not flowers, a good holiday and say everything is easy.

‘Football is so complicated at the high level guys. We tried to build something good and you did do good.

‘You have to make the last level guys, everyone together. That is the moment the real man’s, the real football players, the real professionals step up and say “I’m here”.’

City won the title a week later after United lost 1-0 against West Brom at Old Trafford.
