In spite of the United captain’s social media claim, the Mirror say that there are players in the United camp who feel Mourinho ships the blame on to others and does not accept any himself.
It is said that the loss to West Ham last weekend was viewed as an example, with Mourinho swapping to a three-at-the-back system which incorporated midfielder Scott McTominay in a new defensive role with United going on to lose 3-1.
The Mirror’s report insist that United’s squad are doing their all to arrest their decline in form but that they believe Mourinho is all but gone already.
And Paul Ince thinks that Mourinho could even be gone this weekend if United – who are nine points off of top spot in the league after just seven matches – lose at home to Newcastle (5.30pm).
He told Paddy Power: “If they lose on Saturday evening, particularly if it’s a bad loss, there will be a decision made on Jose Mourinho’s future very quickly.
“If they don’t get a result against Newcastle this weekend, Jose Mourinho is in real danger.”
