According to The Mirror, Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini is keen to add depth to a squad that has been depleted by injuries in recent weeks.

They are currently without the likes of Andriy Yarmolenko, Jack Wilshire, Manuel Lanzini and Carlos Sanchez in the midfield area.

Nasri last played for Turkish club Antalyaspor, making just eight appearances before being forced to mutually terminate his contract after UEFA’s ethics and disciplinary inspector extended his ban from six to 18 months.

He would offer a wealth of Premier League experience having made 86 league appearances for Arsenal and 124 for City.
