Liverpool player ratings vs Watford: Salah inspires Reds, midfield flops despite win

Alisson – 6

Lucky to escape after a poor pass almost let Watford in, but made amends with a great stop from a Roberto Pereyra strike.

Trent Alexander-Arnold – 7

He was pinned back into a defensive role for most of the game but coped well and landed a hammer-blow free-kick.

Dejan Lovren – 7

No-nonsense. Big, commanding and alert to danger. A good performance in place of Joe Gomez.

Virgil van Dijk – 7

He just oozes cool. Such a calm, yet commanding, display from Liverpool’s defensive cornerstone.

Andrew Robertson – 5

Could have conceded a penalty and failed to make an impact going forward. A bit of an off-day, despite the clean sheet.

Jordan Henderson – 5

Two silly yellow cards have ruled him out of the Merseyside derby. Failed to make much of an impact anyway.
