Transfer news LIVE updates: Chelsea ‘to sell’ Hazard, Man Utd TWIST, Arsenal, Liverpool

Arsenal warned on Aaron Ramsey

German football expert Raphael Honigstein has warned Arsenal fans not to believe that Aaron Ramsey is joining Bayern Munich.

“I’m not entirely sure that this is coming to pass,” he told The Totally Football Show with James Richardson.

“I am just not sure the demand for an Aaron Ramsey type of player is that acute at the moment.

“It might just be an opportunistic move, but I should stress that in Munich, which is famously leaky when it comes to these transfer stories, we’ve not really seen that name mentioned at all before or since the news broke in England that an agreement is imminent or has been made.

“So I’d still treat this story with a bit of caution.”

Not good enough for Spurs

Danny Murphy reckons Tottenham dodged a bullet by not signing Jorginho or Fred.

The north Londoners were linked with moves for the Italy and Brazil internationals in the summer.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino didn’t end up signing either man, with Jorginho going to Chelsea and Fred joining Manchester United.

“I don’t know who they could have signed last summer that would have helped them,” the former England international said of his old side in his Daily Mail column.

“Jorginho at Chelsea is a good player but he wouldn’t get in Tottenham’s team and couldn’t cope with Dele Alli in their individual battle last night.

“Manchester United’s £50 million signing Fred wouldn’t have strengthened Spurs.”
