Eintracht Frankfurt supporters put on a visual treat in the build up to their Europa League encounter with Marseille as they displayed large colourful tifos in the minutes before kick off.

The colourful banners and large Frankfurt badges covered large portions of the crowd as the both sets of fans riled up their respective teams on Thursday evening.

Flares that were smuggled in were then lit before an incredible light show filled one section of the Commerzbank-Arena.

The visual spectacle appeared to do the trick as the hosts’ Serbian forward Luka Jovic scored inside two minutes to put last season’s finalists on the back foot so soon after kick off.

Things went from bad to worse for the visitors as Luiz Gustavo put the ball into his own net just after quarter of an hour.

It didn’t get better for Rudi Garcia’s side as Bouna Sarr also scored an own-goal 15 minutes after the restart.

Jovic grabbed his second of the game five minutes later to complete a fantastic night in Europe for the Bundesliga outfit.

The win meant Frankfurt ran out as Group H winners having won all five of their fixtures, while Marseille crashed out of the competition without a whimper after only picking up a point in the Europa League.
