Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas yesterday joined Ligue 1 side Monaco, managed by his former Arsenal team-mate Thierry Henry, on a three-and-a-half year deal.
Fabregas, 31, captained the Blues in the FA Cup against Nottingham Forest on Saturday – then broke down in tears as he waved goodbye.
The original plan was for Chelsea to only let Fabregas go when replacements have been found. That hasn’t been the case but Solhekol thinks fresh blood is on its way.
“Maurizio Sarri basically made it clear Fabregas was not going to play for Chelsea again,” Solhekol told Sky Sports News.
